An all-round show from Angelo Mathews – 0/41 in 10 overs followed up by a superb unbeaten knock of 80 helped Sri Lanka clinch a thrilling victory over Pakistan in the Final ODI. Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by a narrow margin of two wickets with two balls to spare to clinch the ODI Series 3-1.

Pakistan missed a great opportunity to go ahead of Sri Lanka in the one-day series on Saturday. As a result, they now go into the fifth and final ODI with a chance of only squaring the series.

Thisara Perera clinched a magical hat-trick as Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 44 runs in the Fourth ODI at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. With this victory, Sri Lanka lead the 5-match Series 2-1.

The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has announced reserve days for the fourth and fifth ODIs to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The weather for these two ODIs to be played on the 16th and 18th is expected to be poor for cricket because of rain.

The Third ODI between Sri Lanka and Pakistan was abandoned after persistent rain for about five hours. The entire match saw 6.2 overs of action in which Pakistan struggled against the moving ball.

Sri Lanka have rested left-arm spinner Rangana Herath for the remaining three ODIs against Pakistan. It is believed that Herath needed the rest following a recently done knee operation. The left-arm spinner is expected to be a crucial factor in the Sri Lankan team in the upcoming Test Series against Pakistan.

Until the second ODI at Pallekele, it seemed that Pakistan held a distinct advantage over Sri Lanka. Except for the first T20 at Hambantota, it looked like the visitors would continue dominating the hosts.

The action of the Mobilink Jazz Cup shifts to the good old R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo which will play host to the third ODI between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
